Community Groups

JOIN A GROUP AT SRBC

The Small Group Ministry at SRBC is rooted in the Gospel. We believe the Gospel transforms the way that believers interact with each other and our small group ministry reflects this. Small groups are a great way to know others deeper and to be known by others. This belief motivates small groups as our main vehicle for discipleship at our church.

Why community groups?

At Starkey Road, we firmly believe that community is the cornerstone of a thriving, enriching, and spiritually fulfilling life. In this digital age, when we are constantly behind our screens, we understand that true community is more than just a buzzword; it's the essence of what brings us together as believers.

Why is community important?

1. Spiritual Growth
Community provides the fertile ground for spiritual growth. In the company of like-minded individuals, we are not only inspired but held accountable for our spiritual journeys. Together, we can delve into Scripture, discuss its relevance to our lives, and share our personal revelations. Through community, we support one another in living out our faith, encouraging each other to be Christ-like in our daily lives.
2. Emotional Support
Life is full of challenges, and no one should face them alone. Community offers a network of support for those going through tough times. Whether it's celebrating joys, lending a listening ear, or offering a helping hand during trials, our church community is there to embrace and uplift one another.
3. Fostering Friendships
The bonds formed within our church community often become lifelong friendships. These connections go beyond the pews and extend into our daily lives. From sharing meals to participating in outreach initiatives, the friendships forged in our community groups are nurturing, deep, and rooted in faith.
4. Shared Worship and Prayer
Worship is a communal act of expressing our love and devotion to God. When we come together as a community, our collective worship is a powerful testimony to God's glory. Additionally, the power of collective prayer is undeniable. Praying together strengthens our sense of unity and brings us closer to God.
5. Outreach and Impact
Our community groups are not insular. We actively reach out to our neighbors and make a positive impact on our local communities. As a community, we can contribute to various charitable efforts and make a difference in the lives of those in need. Together, we can be the hands and feet of Christ, extending His love beyond our church doors.
