Reality Check

Written by Solomon and positioned in between Proverbs and the Song of Solomon, our study will delve into Ecclesiastes from the perspective that it is a “reality check” from God given to Solomon on life in a broken secular world that is separated from Him. We will see how Solomon confirms the purposeless and emptiness he found in his many quests for satisfaction in the worldly matters of life. You name it, Solomon had it all, tried it all, and saw the end results from it. Ecclesiastes is a favorite of atheists and skeptics because of its sometimes “humanistic” sayings, and we will learn that not everything that Solomon wrote in the book should be used as a basis for solid Bible doctrine. We might even look at some current secular examples that either derive from or vividly illustrate some of the teachings from Ecclesiastes! Join me as we take God's "Reality Check” on life!
